Mirror Mirror

It's Friday today and the weather outside playing with us funny games! 10 min sunshining 10 min raining 10 min strong wind 10 min heavy raining and all over again! Better to stay at home and do some crafting! I love rainy days! :0)

Now, it was Sharon's turn at Daring Cardmakers this week and
what a clever girl isn't she?

I'd like to see mirror images on your cards, this can be mirror stamping, die-cuts or patterned papers featuring a mirror image.

And here is my card:

Have a lovely and cozy Friday! Hugs to you all!

Science Fiction

Today something completely different and usual!  Daring Cardmakers have really fantastic challenge for us this week :

It's Svenja here with a new challenge for you:
I have the ominous 42 to celebrate today and it's towel day on Monday. Two good reasons to celebrate the works of the great Douglas Adams with some
science fiction
themed cards. But of course you're just as welcome to celebrate any other sci-fi hero of your choice: Dr. Who, Mr. Spock, Princess Leia, R2D2... to name but a few. Who is your favourite space alien?

You should come to visit Daring Cardmakers Blog and see what my other Design Teames created for your inspiration.

My card :

I was inspired by Georges Melies, French famous illusionist and filmmaker.

If I could travel in time I will meet Georges Melies by face. His ideas, pictures and imaginations were absolutely brilliant! In the 19 century almost unbelievable!

If you want to watch his movie Trip to the Moon I have it for you here.

Have a nice afternoon!

Used Material :

Black and cream cardstock
Colour in page of  Georges Melies Moon from Pinterest
Letraset Promarkers
Washi Tape
Stars stamps from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine
White ink

A Little Fox

I pop today to say hello and to share some very cute project with you. Do you have moments to try some other craft activities?  Well, my mind is completely hooked to all kind of crafts.
I walk down the high street the other day and sow a beautiful shopping window display arranged in orange colours, that gave me an idea to work with some orange felt. And suddenly my project was born. Let's make a little fox brooch!
Fiskarettes launching their Colour Challenge. They mixed really beautiful colours for us to play.

You can play too if you would like. It's very easy, go to their FB page Fiskarettes UK and follow the instructions. There is a fabulous price for one lucky winner at the end of the month!

 And here is my project:

Die cut two fox bodies one from orange felt and the other one from orange foam. Use white felt for belly, face and tale. Die cut two white bellies one is for the safety pin covering. Finish die cutting eyes and nose from dark blue felt.

Adhere the felt fox on to foam fox. I was using a heat gun.
Why foam base? It's holding nicely shape and stability of brooch.

Add white parts like belly, face and tale and stick eyes and nose.

Turn the brooch and fix safety pin. I used again my hot gun.

Cover safety pin with the spare white felt belly.

Die cut a flower. You can choose a colour it suits you the best. Place the flower to your hat, coat,  jacket or bag and pin the brooch.

And you finished! :0)

Hope you liked my tutorial. Wish you all beautiful day!
Hugs!

Used material :

Assorted felt (I'm using wool felt)
Orange foam for crafters

The Door To ...

Good morning! How was your week? We have election here in UK so all is in politic swirl at the moment. I don't know how about you, but I hate politics! I prefer craft instead! :0) To create something special for somebody I love.
As it is Friday and that is time for Daring Cardmakers I created a card  for this week

The Door To .... challenge

This card looks very simple, but there is little twist in the doors!

I did a bit of engineering with the doors. I trimmed a panel from October Afternoon The Thrift Shop patterned paper, which I stamped with Just Rite Bracket Border. Continued with die cutting  two doors from white cardstock using Poppystamps Cute Cottage Die, traced the door on the prepared panel and cut out two holes with my craft knife.

Then I inked die cut doors from white cardstock  with purple and yellow inks, adhered them on the panel and matted them with light blue cardstock. All the windows are my leftovers from previous die cut projects. I just fixed them on the light blue cardstock, the same one as I used for the door and sticked them with mounting pads on the card front. Did some stitching around. The sentiment is printed on my printer, die cut with oval punch and ink around with Memento ink. I finished my card with novelty stickers, twine and ribbon.
